Hello, my name is Kim one Orr. I'm a graduate of Titchfield High School and a current student at Talladega College. I am majoring in the field of Computer Science, and I wish to pursue a career as a software engineer.

My name is Shantel Thomas, a 2023 graduate of Benedict College with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I am currently working as a Software Quality Engineer (QE) at a tech company in Silicon Valley, where I contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Hi! My name is Ghasilia Stewart and I am a sophomore at Alabama State University. I'm currently majoring in Biomedical Engineering and I'm actively involved in a number of organizations including the W.E.B DuBois Honors Program, National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Forensic Science Club and the International Student Association (ISA). I'm also a 1x Dean's List Student. In the future I aspire to be a biomedical engineer.

My name is Crystal McIntosh, an aspiring software engineer currently completing my Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Benedict College, aiming to complete in November 2024.
My professional experience includes three successful internships at Salesforce, working with the Slack team, where I contributed to workflow redesigns and developed a Workflow Insertion Tool. I'm excited to be starting my full-time position as a Software Engineer at Slack in January 2025. As a technically skilled developer, I work with JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Python, React.js, and Next.js, having built projects like an Uber Clone and a Car Showcase. As a first-generation college student and single mother, I've learned to balance my academic pursuits with leadership roles, serving as President of the Robotics Club and Leader of the Google Developers Student Club. I'm deeply committed to community service, participating in relief efforts, nursing home visitations and youth mentorship through programs like Passport to College. My journey has shaped my long-term goal of not only growing as a software engineer but also creating pathways for other women, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, to thrive in the tech industry.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
