Although a research assistant in the Claflin University's Biology Department, she is very passionate about the performing arts. She is a Stage Manager for the school's "Jar of the Floor" production; poetry winner and storytelling first-runnerup at the South Carolina Speech and Theartre Association's (SCSTA) festival competition; and even an officer on the school's honor's council.
Trisana currently holds the Claflin University track records in 300m (39.81 secs) and 55m (6.86 secs). Her 55m record also makes her the fastest collegiate woman in the United States in said event. She also holds the Emory Complex 200m record of 24.60 secs.

Anhueser-Busch Legends of the Crown Leadership Scholarship
Awarded to her in the 2014-2015 academic year, Anheuser-Busch awards $5000 scholarships to 30 eligible student leaders entering their junior year of study at a four year accredited HBCU. The scholarship includes a unique leadership seminar and community service project with Anheuser-Busch senior leaders. The scholarships celebrate the leadership demonstrated by the Great Kings and Queens of Africa depicted in a one-of-a-kind Anheuser-Busch art collection.
